Course description

This course is delivered over four days, and is designed to provide the knowledge and practical skills for a trainee to carry out the felling of forward leaning, upright and slightly backward leaning trees, up to a diameter of 380mm. The training also deals with the processing of felled trees and how to deal with a hung tree (undertaken with hand tools), where one tree has been felled into another tree.This training course will also provide, the required training for a trainee to undertake the NPTC City and Guild certificate of competence 0039-21, felling small trees up to 380mm. To attend this course the trainee must have attended the chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting course.The NPTC assessment will require an additional day if undertaken.
