0017-901 – Scissor lift

The foundation qualification for using a Scissor lift MEWP.  A versatile aerial work platform that uses a criss-cross folding mechanism to provide vertical access for workers, tools, and materials. All MEWPS are versatile and bespoke, relative to the operation you need to achieve, when using one and which ‘one’ should be used during your ‘planning phase’. This last point is highlighted greatly within the relative Arboricultural Association Technical Guide 5, Sections 1a and Section 2. It is noteworthy that, during the planning phase and when establishing the most appropriate MEWP type; in association with The Working at Heights Regulations; that the rescuer has the same qualification as the MEWP Operator, and both of these individuals should have the MEWP type qualification that is in use one the given day.
